Greenbrae
Location
Greenbrae borders Larkspur, Kentfield and San Rafael and is centrally
located. It is only 5 minutes from the San Rafael Bridge, making a
handy commute for people working in the east bay, it is also just
minutes away from the Larkspur ferry to San Francisco. Marin General
Hospital, the county’s larges medical facility, is also located
in Greenbrae.
Public
Schools
The Greenbrae area is served by two public school districts; Kentfield
School District for elementary and middle school, and Tamalpais Union
High School District, for high school students who will attend Redwood
High School in Larkspur.
Kentfield School District is a small district with two schools serving the communities of Greenbrae and Kentfield. The total enrollment of Kentfield District is just under 1,000.
Tamalpais Union High School District provides secondary school education to students coming from ten elementary districts in Marin County, including the Kentfield School District. It includes three comprehensive high schools, all of which have been designated as California Distinguished Schools, and two alternative schools.
